I think you are reading something into my replies that isnt there, you said my comment "no one wanted slicktops" was closed-minded, I simply was explainig what I meant and how can say such a thing with confidence of it being true (granted SOME people wanted them but I assume you were not interpreting "no one" in a literal sense), nowhere was it a judgement on slicktops and their coolness or anything of the sort. There was nothing closedminded about it. It seemed to me that you thought slicktops were rare because they had to be ordered, when in fact their rareness was a result of their extremely low demand (hence the 5speed pathfinder analogy). Was only offering you some info to clear up what seemed to me to be a misconception. That is all. I try not to be succint at the expense of clarity so that anyone reading fully understands what I am trying to say. I dont know what is flawed about me preferring roof options on a sportscar, at no point did I ever say "if it doesnt have a --insert roof option here-- then it isnt a sports car. I said after having a car for all of my adult life with a metal roof until owning this Z I could never go back. I said it was a sticking point for ME, and pointed out that obviously you felt differently before buying or came to feel differently after getting your slicktop. Sorry to upset you. I dont see what the tirade about owners with the same car, same year, same trim, etc etc had to do with anything that I said, but yes, it is a common occurance, thanks for pointing it out I guess.
